Hiro Koichi “ Kajuen” 1972 Japan Prog

Hiro Koichi “ Kajuen” 1972 Japan Prog Rock

album, that is considered as folk rock, but actually using active elements from the different genres - from westcoast psychedelic to progressive and retro stylistic, including swing, foxtrot etc. Here is the songwriting component is more noticeable, but it is not post-Dylan branch but closer to Al Stewart, Cat Stevens and early Elton John: piano, sonorous vocal and full musical band support including in this case flute, accordion and violin; in swing “Machi ga Moeru Toki” - brass section (but an acoustic guitar is not discriminated in this album). Pleasant melodies, good arrangements and qualitative performing.

johnkatsmc5, welcome music..
