Concert at the Texas International Pop Festival. Rotary Connection is a bold project of Marshall Chess, the son of the founder of Chess Records. He decided to create a band that would play "psychedelic soul" - music that is equally understandable to both the black audience and pale-faced hippies. As a result, Rotary Connection included rockers from The Proper Strangers and talented singer Minnie Riperton, who had a voice range of five and a half octaves. Musicians of this group still took part in the recording of the famous album of Muddy Waters - Electric Mud.
