Glatter Wahnsinn “Rock Jazz Unit” 1980 Private  Germany Jazz, Jazz Rock

Founded in 1978, he participated in the "POP '78 •" Junior Festival ", the German Phono Academy and on the same-named sampler with the piece" T.A.F. "(2LP: Deutsche Phono-Akademie DL 28210-2, 1979). BERND STROHM (guitars), MICHAEL STROHM (bass), GEORGMAHR (piano, synthesizer, organ), RAINER MACKENTHUN (drums).
In addition to the brothers BERND and MICHAEL STROHM and the keyboardist GEORG MAHR, drummer WALDEMAR, WALDO 'KARPENKIEL and KLAUS DAPPER (reeds) were added to the album "Glatter Wahnsinn" (Anvil Records ANV 101, 1980) . Both had already played together in the outstanding band COLLECTIVE as early as 1973, they were part of PETER BURSCH (with and without a BRÖSELMASCHINE) and should go to
(Heinz Geilich)...............

BERND STROHM was inspired by the music of the Beatles to his first musical walks. Already in the late 70s, the guitarist from Duisburg, with his band GLATTER WAHNSINN, was an experimental jazz rock combo for a look. And one can say without exaggeration that his virtuosic, technically perfectly staged improvisations belonged to the best of all that the German music scene had to offer. After his music studies, Bernd worked in the 80s, among others. With Klaus Doldinger and SUPERSESSION. After numerous gigs at home and abroad, the musician, who until then had mainly worked on the electric guitar, discovered his love for the acoustic guitar in the 90s.................
