austrian guitar pop/new wave band with the wittiness of a Falco
In the autumn of 1975, when Sam Auinger and Hans Kühnl, who had previously played as a duo, were looking for a rhythm group for the better realization of their musical ideas: DESERT HARVEST soon became one of the secret tips of the Linz scene with its “Rock Impressions” In 1980, a performance in the audience studio of the ORF, which was later broadcast via the radio, as well as a concert at “Rock im Grünen” in front of 5,000 listeners in Germany, was followed by a concert at the “Sisyphos” Linz. In the autumn of the same year her debut album “Schwarz or Rosa” was composed in Germany with exclusively German lyrics. Her music is influenced by bands such as Pink Floyd and Supertramp. In consequence of the rather weak sales numbers of the record, the band changed their name to DE HA and also their music got a more commercial painting……..
