1970 United Artists release by New Milford, based band combining moody Westcoast style organ sound with fuzzy psych guitar. This trio hailed from New Milford, New Jersey. The album, which was recorded in New York and produced by Steve and Eric Nathanson (who were the producers of Boffalongo). Highly Recommended!…………….
Omnibus was Boston based band combining moody westcoast style organ sound with fuzzy psych guitar. The album was recorded in New York and produced by Steve and Eric Nathanson.
Excellent lp from 1970 , heavy psychedelic rock with great guitars , organ and morrison like vocals. Doors and Clear Light is a definite influence here. There has always been a reference to be a Boston group although the lp was recorded in New York (like most of the boston groups) and released on united artists label which hadn’t any connection with the “bosstown sound”. Anyway, together with the Fort mudge memorial dump lp this one represents the last important releases of actual psychedelia in US before its turn to the west coast rock / hard rock sound and country rock of early seventies. From then private releases would be the main source of psychedelic rock music. Highlights here are “ The man song” , “Its all in your heart” , the superb “Shake it off” and “Spring”. By the way , this is not prog rock unless the doors or bands like country joe + fish or jefferson airplane were progressive (and you know they were not)…by ocean boogie ………
