Kossie Gardner “Pipes Of Blue” 1969 US fuzz organ Psych Rock

Heavy psych played with keyboards, with covers of Steppenwolf (Magic Carpet Ride), Hendirx (Fire, Foxy Lady), Cream (Sunshine of Your Love), plus California Dreamin’, Sittin’ on the Dock of the Bay...............

Kossie recorded with David Newman on the 'House of David" album (Atlantic). He made two LOs under his own name, as far as I know, and I've never seen either of them. They were 'Modern as tomorrow' on White House and 'Pipes of blue' on Dot.............

I remember when Kossi Gardner was playing with Roy Ayers or vice versa (both unknown at the time) back in Los Angeles on Adams Blvd. at a little hole in the wall (can't remember the name of the place). It was near Crenshaw Blvd. I always wondered what happened to him after Roy got discovered. At that time I thought and felt that Kossi and Roy was a beautiful combination and playing some very beautiful groovin' music.................
