Unit Gloria was a successful pop group from Utrecht in the late sixties and early seventies.

Until 1969 the band was called Gloria, from the single Our father became Unit Gloria, a fact that is often forgotten in many collecting and compilation albums. The band started in the United States in 1970 [1]. After the departure of Robert Long in 1971, the band Alexander Curly accompanied his number 1 hit I’ll never drink again and became the regular band of singer Bonnie St. Claire.

Members of the group were:

Robert Long (singing)
Albert ‘Mouse’ Hol (guitar)
Gerrit 'Meep’ Hol (drums)
Marcel 'Hoss’ of Hardeveld (April 11, 1945 - July 5, 2011) (bass guitar).
Hoss was replaced in 1974 by Ed Swanenburg [2] and the Hol brothers in 1976 by resp. Rob Metz (guitar) and Frans Meijer (drums). In the aftermath Jan Rietman played some time in the band for some time…………….
