SRC  "Live in  Adrian, Michigan" 1969 bootleg US Psych Rock

Cassette tape from a trade done long ago (originally probably a sbd or a radio broadcast)

A nice amateur recording of the SRC performance (abbreviation for Scott Richard Case) is a band from the town of Ann Arbor, which appeared in the mid-1960s at the dawn of Detroit rock and named after vocalist Scott Richardson. Beginning as a traditional pop-team of those years, the band gradually acquired a rigid psychedelic sound. SRC performed on the same stage with Procol Harum, Jimi Hendrix, Traffic, The Who, The Rolling Stones, Janis Joplin, The Mama's and the Papa's, and recorded three albums..................

One of the leading bands on the fertile Michigan rock scene of the mid- to late '60s, SRC took a more artful approach to their music than peers such as the MC5 and the Stooges, forging a sound that was dominated by expert musical interplay and occasional classical influences that anticipated the progressive rock movement of the '70s, while still possessing the passion and energy that was the trademark of the Detroit sound. - allmusic...................
