A little-known Australian trio from Melbourne entrusted with multi-instrumentalist Stephen Wallace (piano, guitar, bass, percussion, vocals) …. released the only private pressing album in limited edition, the CD was not reprinted…~

Pine Hill is the name of the place where this was recorded hence the title of the album, “Pine Hill Isolation Album”.Certainly not the name of the band which should be Electro Motive Force.Tough one to categorise genre wise. This is not some amateur hour production but a coherent sophisticated work from start to finish with strong soulful vocals.Could be seen as a distant Australian cousin to Justen O'Brien & Jake in that with both of these works i have the impression that they are drawing on musical styles beyond my usual limited listening orbit….by…wonkywhy ….~
