Danish prog / psych LP. Hugely underated still, and one of the rarest on Demos. Folk rock with psych and prog touches…~

De Fortabte Spillemænd (Lost Musicians) was created in 1969 and was one of the first rock bands with Røde Mor, who expressed her social criticism in Danish. The first album “Mens Dagene Er Dystre” (Until the dark days ended) was recorded in 1971 and published by Demos.
Guitarist Peter Ørting (author of poetry and music) was inspired by groups of the west coast, as well as historical texts of books by Niels Brans. For example, the last song “Kronstadt 1921” is devoted to the events in Soviet Russia, the armed uprising of 1921 against poverty and hunger.
After recording the second plate “Musak” in 1974, the band broke up. Unfortunately, both albums were not reissued on CDs. De Fortabte Spillemænd-are a rare example of socialist groups that played psychedelic folk-rock with a strong national flavor. Perhaps one of the most Danish records of his time … ~
