On CD, this is the excellent third studio-album by the acclaimed instrumental space-/progrock band from Russia….~

Let me remind you that HUMAN FACTOR started his creative career at the end of 2011. In 2012, a quartet composed of Konstantin Stirlitz (drums), Alexander Meshcheryakov (bass guitar), Sergei Volkov (keyboards, guitars) and Ivan Ivanov (guitar) made his debut on RAIG Records with the album “4.Hm.F”, which he received very flattering reviews in the foreign music press. His status was further strengthened by the second album “Homo Universum”, released in April 2016th. However, the further perspective of the team unexpectedly turned out to be in doubt: at the end of 2015 the guitarist left the band, the drummer joined the Moscow instrumental rock band Reserve De Marche, and then to the US-Russian VIA Lost World … But, as it turned out, the rumors the death of HUMAN FACTOR was premature. The talented guitarist-keyboardist Pavel Vorobyov (not to be confused with the hyperactive pop songwriter from Samara) very successfully joined the team, and the participation of Konstantin Shtirlits in other projects did not prevent the updated quartet from starting work on new material. The result of which was the album “Let Nature Take Its Course”.
The English-language title of the album leaves a certain space for the listener’s imagination games - either “let nature develop as it should” or “let nature take its own”. Whatever it was, the album turned out to be excellent - clear, harmoniously-ensemble, rich, dynamic, well-produced (by mixing and mastering this time the Moscow sound engineer Artem Amatuni), with an exciting original melody and, I’m not afraid of this statement, in the firm “ individual "artistic and musical style.
The fact is that to date HUMAN FACTOR is hardly the only one of the domestic instrumental rock bands known to me, which does not strive at all costs to "fit” into current trends, such as “progressive”, “stoner”, “post-rock” or “Kraut-rock.” The participants of the collective, it seems, do not care which “target” audience will consider their music “their own”. Constant priority they consciously give to the writing, creation and development of the melodic series, understanding as such compositional, arrangement, dynamic, dramatic and performing integrity. In other words: it is not important how the music is classified and associated with what style, the main thing is to listen to it was fascinating and that it would be desirable to return to it. The poetic expressiveness and depth of the language of the collective can not but excite and not delight.
In fact, each instrumental composition HUMAN FACTOR is a kind of romantic musical poem without words. For example, the composition “Longyear” is dedicated to the northernmost city on Earth - the Norwegian Longyearbyen in the province of Svalbard of the Spitsbergen archipelago; and the play “1816” tells about the coldest year since the beginning of documenting weather observations - the so-called “year without summer” or “one thousand eight hundred dead frozen”, as the Americans call it; and “Nubo Vetera Promesas Pluvon” in translation from Esperanto means “Cloudlight promises rain” … And so with each number on the album. In each there is a lyrical elegy, and exalted sensuality, and spiritual heroics - all that ultimately, through the created musical and artistic image, glorifies the beauty, value and freedom of nature and personality. By the way, romanticism,
On that, perhaps, the publishing presentation of the album “Let Nature Take Its Course” is over. Being undoubtedly an interested person, I still allow myself to say that this release is a real event in the domestic instrumental rock music. But so there are circumstances, that his presentation will not be on stage. Therefore, I strongly urge you to get acquainted with the new work of HUMAN FACTOR online or from the disk - whether you are a fan of “progressive rock” or “space rock”, do you prefer “experimental rock” or other alternative rock music with the prefix “post”. Vivid impressions! ….by raigor …..~
