Disc out of their performances in Switzerland and Germany in the early 1970s. Specifically, it is recorded live in performances in Geneva, Zurich and Munich. It is a document that allows us to see first-hand how Lone Star spent them in their live performances. All the subjects included here were unpublished, except “I believe to my soul” that had appeared in “Lone Star in Jazz” (La Voz de su Amo, 1968) .

From the repertoire, we can say that, as is usual in this type of productions, other people’s songs are as well known as the immortal “What’d I say” by Ray Charles that closes the album or “She’s not there” by The Zombies, nothing what to do with Bernardo Bonezzi and his boys. The homegrown is also represented by pieces as powerful as the blues rock “When I wake up this morning” , the suggestive “Love” loaded with changes of rhythm or the countless show off of the guitar in that blues transplanted from the Mississippi delta al del Llobregat entitled “When I was young”, in which we intuited Pedro sitting at the piano.

The audition presents a band of rock blues with progressive tendencies , which behaves live with a vocal aggression worthy of praise, which contrasts with instrumental discourses of the guitar or the drums that suppose at times a certain haven to the vocal forcefulness of a Pedro Gené at his best. The singer is the undisputed figure of the record, passing over the songs with a well-managed voice as we have rarely heard in live works.

A short album with some deficiency of recording, but listening absolutely recommended for those who want to meet an old rock band who lived their best professional moments….by Julián Molero …..la fonoteca….~
