Bio
The name of this group is not pretentious, because in the four singles that he has left us in his short career, he demonstrates to make very good music. It is the first Spanish group that manages to make blues of a quality comparable to that at that time we came from the British Isles.

The group is formed in Madrid, although none of its components is from Madrid, and is articulated around the singer from Granadino Julián Granados , who had made a certain name by having been the vocalist of The Brisks . At his side, four expert musicians: Johnny Galvao (guitar) from the Portuguese group Os Duques, Iñaki Egaña (bass) and Jorge Moreno (drums), tanned in groups and dance orchestras and Rod Mayall (organ), younger brother of genius blues englishJohn Mayall, who at that time was in The Explosion and who in his country had played with people like Steve Winwood, Jack Bruce or his own brother. In principle they adopt the name of the Snobs, and in 1968 they begin to act in the usual Madrid circuit of clubs.

Coinciding with the formation of the group, Cadena SER founded the record label Accion and they are his first signing, to which Tomás Martín Blanco, head of musical programs, forces to change the name to a Spanish one, choosing definitely the one from Los Buenos. The all-powerful, then, chain SER was managing the musical scene through its programs: The 40 Principales and El Gran Musical and the support to the group was very important. It was intended that Los Buenos became the alternative to Los Bravos and Los Canarios , dominant groups in those moments of the music scene. They will spare no effort and the radio station will hire Adolfo Waitzman to produce the first recordings of the quintet.

On February 18, 1969, the group presented their first album at the JJ disco in Madrid, broadcast live throughout Spain. On the A side " Song ", a commercial theme to use composed by Johnny Galvao, and on the B side an excellent version of the classic blues : " Oh, pretty woman ", by Albert King (not to be confused with the homonymous song by Roy Orbison ). SER machinery pushes and Los Buenos is known throughout Spain, but sales do not exceed medium.

In the second simple the terms are inverted. A blues with all of the law is placed on the A side. " Looking back " by Johnny Guitar Watson and a Spanish song " De mi niña " on the B side. Nor does it achieve the expected success.

After a lot of summer bowling, in full recording of his third single, Julián Granados receives an offer to start a solo career. The Good ones are reduced to quartet and Iñaki Egaña assumes the role of singer. This circumstance causes that in the third disc it appears " Hello, hi, hello ", with the voice of Iñaki and " Groovy woovy " sung by Julián. This single manages to peek into the best-seller lists and the second of the songs contained in it is today the most remembered theme of this group.

In 1969 they released their fourth and final single, containing two rhythm 'n' blues without concessions: "My Baby / Summer Talk" (Action, 1969) . It is his least known album. Soon Rod Mayall leaves the group and is briefly replaced by the Swiss jazz pianist Claude Hirt , and shortly after, The Good end his career, remaining in the history of Spanish music as one of the most innovative sets to bring our country the psychedelic rhythm 'n' blues sound of the late 60's.

Julián Granados will follow an irregular solo career, Johnny Galvao will become a sought-after session musician and lead member of Miguel Ríos' accompaniment band and Iñaki Egaña would later form the Barrabas group with the Morales brothers....by..Julián Molero...lafonoteca....~
